Trying to publish a book?
Look in a Yellow Pages or some form of directory for a Literary Agent. Publishing Houses do NOT accept unsolicited work directly from the author. Do not submit your entire work to the Literary Agent, write a query letter detailing your credentials, and a short synopsis of your work - a query letter should be kept short and sweet. If the literary agent is interested, they will then ask for your book proposal. A book proposal will include a longer synopsis, it should detail the market your work is aimed for, detail competition, a description of yourself as a writer, and a chapter by chapter summary. Note: If a literary agent asks for or requires money for passing your work to a publisher, then it is a scam - such an act is common in the world of publishing, fraudsters thrive on those desperate for publication.
