How to seem approachable and friendly to small children?

Hey girly! I'm a mom of 7 and I'm pregnant with another, so you can trust me :) OK my little ones love the neighbor girl who babysits them, and there is another girl on our street who asked if she could babysit if I ever needed one and the kids didn't like her, they thought she was scary, and she wore lots of dark clothes, tons of makeup, big hair, showed some cleavage which upset me, and she was wearing tons of jewelery. I wasn't happy with her but it was an emergency. The other girl on the other hand wore colorful sweet clothes, curly hair with a flower in it, hardly any makeup, only a necklace a few bracelets and stud earrings, and no cleavage showing which made me happy (I have 3 boys, they don't need to see that ;) ) SO I would suggest wearing clothes with some color, jeans, a shirt showing not very much cleavage, leave the dangly earrings at home (Don't want them to get pulled!) and my kids and my sisters kids say they love curly hair :) Just talk sweetly, don't get mad or yell, and don't talk too loud because their ears are sensitive and it can scare them. I think you'll do fine, you sound like a sweet girl! Compliment them and talk to them and ask questions, even if you can't understand them act like your interested :) Good Luck Hun!
