Is it safe to mix childrens nyquil with childrens benadryl?

My daughter is sick and I gave her childrens Nyquil to help sleep cause its a cough suppressant... she coughs ALL night. well about two and a half hours later she wouldnt stop coughing so i gave her children benadryl. I that ok?
