I am possibly buying a 1998 Audi A4 1.8.?

It has 111k on it triptronic shift all nice leather everything seems to work and it seems to run great. It needs new brakes and an abs wire because apparently when the brakes wear down there is a sensor in there that's when it wears down it let's you know you need new brakes. I don't know much about audis but was wondering if anybody could let me know a little bit about what I'm getting into... Thank you
